The Dom Tower
With its height of 112 metres the Dom Tower dominates the centre of Utrecht. The now free-standing Dom Tower was built between 1321 and 1382 to the west of the then Romanesque nave. The Dom Tower is a special building for more than one reason. It is located within the so-called "Utrechtse kerkenkruis" ("Utrecht cross of churches"), thereby forming the absolute high point from an urban development, historical and religious point of view. It is also possible to climb to the top of the tower.
